So sayeth World Airline Awards.  Ranking and comments from this article at Quartz.  Certainly it seems like things are quite different these days than when I was flying even 5 years ago; it seemed like there were many more open spots back then.  I like that airlines have figured out how to fill planes and keep things profitable but don’t think that needs to come at the cost of comfort or offerings to passengers as some of these other international airlines are profitable while providing better quality service as well.

Perhaps more worrisome is the Transparent Airfares Act which was in the AA flight magazine I was reading yesterday and about how great it would be, although in reality it seems like it will provide an even cloudier version of all-in costs when consumers are shopping for airfare.  Some comments from the Wandering Aramean on that topic here.
