Image above credit of the Wandering Aramean – he’s got some interesting charts and tools around hotel points usage and valuation.  Interesting to see SPG valued so highly just on hotel usage alone – I value them primarily for their uber flexibility in transferring points to airlines, as SPG has a ton of transfer partners, the brunt for which a 20k transfer request will receive a 5k additional kicker bonus!
