Flight Review: TG606 Thai Airways 747 Business Class Bangkok to Hong Kong

Lounge Access
I went to two of the Thai Airways “Royal Silk” (business class) lounges – in the D wing and the C wing. The D one is the main one. Contrary to a review on the app LoungeBuddy, the wifi was free in the main D lounge. I suggest checking out this great app for pics/access/purchase/etc. options and reviews of lounges for airports worldwide. The lounge here seems pretty standard fare as far as international lounges go. I liked the little soup on demand bar thing.

Seat
Per SeatGuru, these are 170 degree angled lie flat seats. I didn’t try and go all the way down in it, as this flight is not really all that long. Seats were comfortable as to be expected. More than good enough for such a short flight.

Food
What’s on the menu? I had the pork. It wasn’t anything to get too excited about.

Amenity Bag
No bag as I recall, too short a flight (< 3 hours). All in all a nice and uneventful quick flight on a long itinerary of mine to get to Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
